Kazimierz
(proper name Kazimierz Dolny is often
shortened to Kazimierz Dl.) - a small town of 2500 inhabitants,
150
km
south-east of Warsaw, lies on
the right bank of the Vistula river. It is renowned for its rich
history,
wonderful architecture with picturesque medieval houses, attractive
landscape
with many footpaths, and mild climate.

Bus Warsaw - Kazimierz Dolny
There
will be free transportation by bus from Warsaw to Kazimierz
on July 23rd, and back on July 27th. The bus will depart at 5.00 pm
from the Warsaw airport and will stop at
5.30 pm at
the Faculty of Physics
at 69 Hoza Street situated in
the center of Warsaw.
The Faculty of Physics is within 10
minutes walk from the main train station
WARSZAWA CENTRALNA and easily accessed by
taxi
and/or by public transportation from the Frederick Chopin
(Okecie) Airport (located less than 10 km from the city center).
On 27th July the bus will depart from Kazimierz at 1.15 pm. It will stop
first at the Warsaw Airport and then
at the Faculty of Physics at 69 Hoza Street.
Normally the travel takes about 2 hours, but in case of heavy traffic
it might take longer. For people departing by plane on 27th we recommend
to book flights departing after 6.00 pm.

There is a fast train connection from Cracow to Warsaw see
timetable.
For example 12:00-14:55 or 14:00-16:55.
Also Katowice is well connected by train to Warsaw.
For example 11:00-13:50, 14:00-16:45.

Alternative traveling by
train from Warsaw to Pulawy Miasto (2 hours ride, price 25 PLN, see
timetable)
then by bus or taxi (20 min taxi ride at a price of about 40 PLN) is
also
comfortable.

From the airport "Frederick Chopin" (Okecie) in Warsaw
to the city center (Warszawa Centralna, Faculty of Physics)
you can take a bus number 175. It takes around 20-35 minutes to get to the
Central Railway Station (Warszawa Centralna)
(leave the bus near Marriot Hotel). Tickets
can be bought either in a newspaper kiosk at the airport (2.80 PLN)
or from the bus driver (slightly more expensive, change necessary ).
Note, in the public buses you need a ticket for your luggage.
Taxi should cost around 30PLN(~7EUR).
